We had a perfect group of students from Gruzdziai gymnasium who took part in project “Safe Harbor“. Students had an opportunity to try sports such as rugby, floorball and shooting. Students improve their attentiveness, obedience and communication skills with career consulting Diana Armaliene.

Project “Safe Harbor “ supported by the National Public Health Promotion Foundation.

National regional development agency launched a project ,,Safe Harbor ", which is supported by the National Public Health Promotion Foundation. This is a preventive project, which includes not only theoretical training but also active learning. During active training all participants have an opportunity to try out sports like rugby, floorball and sport shooting.

This time Gruzdžiai high school students participated in this training. All students improved their tenacity, concentration and strength. Also, along with the lecturer Diana Armalienė students analyzed themselves, developed social and emotional skills, analyzed various life situations. Lecturer Diana Armalienė allowed students to open up and discuss about their key concerns and issues related to the young person's choices.

Social partners had a meeting in Šiauliai territorial labor exchange. Director of Šiauliai territorial labor exchange presented situation of young people in the labor market, introduced employment opportunities expected in 2017 for youth. The social partners are actively discussing how to attract young people to volunteering.

Also, in this meeting, a lot of attention was paid to the project ,,Discover Yourself ". Raimonda Tamoševičienė lecturer of the project shared her experience and said that all groups of youth were very creative, curious and friendly. She highlight that motivational learning is very useful for developing modern persons.

National region development agency carries out project ,,Safe harbor“ which is supported by the National Public Health Promotion Foundation. The main aim of the project is to foster healthy lifestyle habits for youth. Also, big attention paid to values, social skills development and the promotion of mutual cooperation.

Project included workshops about career, choices and active learning. All social skills, attentiveness, attitude to the environment has been formed through non-traditional sports such as 7-rugby, hockey and shooting.

Lithuanian Labor Exchange organized the project “Discover Yourself " which include motivational training events “Start shaping your future itself”.

Lectors, psychologists and career consultants of National Regions Development agency communicated with project participants. The target group of the project are young people from 18 to 29 years old. Motivational trainings was attended by young people from Šiauliai, Pakruojis, Joniškis, Kelmė and Radviliškis districts. During motivational trainings “Start shaping your future itself” participants analyzed their needs, abilities and values. Lectors told them how to behave during a job interview, how to understood body language of others people.

Trainings which included individual and group working encourage motivation of young people, also provide the opportunity to find friends and like-minded. All groups of young people were very friendly, active and creative. Lecturers grateful for productive training and wish success in discovering their way!

National Region's Development Agency, Public body Siauliai tourism information centre with four partners from Latvia submitted an application to Interreg V-A Latvia – Lithuania Programme 2014-2020 the project “Balts' Road” to achieve a sustainable and clean environment cooperation. The application of project "Balts‘ Road“ has been approved.

The main aim of this project is to increase number of visitors to the Programme area by creating cross-border objective itinerary cultural “Balts' Road”. We want to introduce Lithuanian and Latvian cultural heritage, unique traditions and colorful nature to the whole world.

National region development agency representatives had a meeting with a project partner Šiauliai County Probation Service. Agency representatives introduced the program of active learning for youth, coordinated training time. Partners agreed that young people who are in probation supervise will attend in trainings.

National Regions Development Agency, Siauliai Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts and Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry submitted an application of the following project: “Entrepreneurship Curricula: Empowering Women”. The concept of the project is to promote women’s social and economic activity in Georgia.

Public Institution National Regions Development Agency implemented the project ,,Ctreating Relationship. Discover. Experience. Share.“ in Gruzdziai city. The project involved trainings, lectures and indvidual conversations with psychologists about family problems, family crisis. Everyone who attend these events learned how to discover crisis in family? How we should act in difficult situations? According to participants all lectures, trainings were very informative and helpful.

Restaurant day is well known worldwide initiative that allows anyone to set up their own restaurant, bar or cafe for a day. It can be opened anywhere: at home, at the office, at a park or on the street – only your imagination is the limit. The idea of the day is to have fun, share new food experiences and enjoy our common living environments together. The first Restaurant Day was celebrated on May 21st 2011 in Finland.Now Restaurant Day initiative is the world’s biggest food carnival which brings people together.

The first Restaurant day in Lithuania was held in Vilnius in 2012. The company “ Arts & Entertainment” contributed to a global event and opened one day restaurant in their office, where everyone could not only taste the prepared dishes, but also bring their own.

In order to spread this Restaurant Day initiative in Lithuanian cities Public institution Nationals Regions Development Agency with partners ‘‘Arts & Entertainment“, Tourism Marketing Association and Siauliai State College of Business and Technology Faculty organized a project ,,Day Restaurant: Move it;)”. The main aim of this project was to inform people about Restaurant day, to introduce history of this day and encourage people to participate and set up their own pop-up restaurants.
